The Big Sweep
Volunteer Clean Up of South Beach 1st St. to 14th St.

WHAT:

The Environmental Coalition of Miami Beach- (ECOMB) will host “The Big Sweep”. This is a volunteer driven event that will collect all of the litter from the beautiful beach between 1st St. and 14th St. Individual and team volunteers will register and gather at two stations (South Pointe Drive X Ocean Drive and 14th St. X Ocean Drive). A friendly competition, starting at 8:30 a.m., will set these individuals into motion collecting litter and debris from the beach and shoreline. The two groups will converge at 7th St. where an appreciation party will be hosted by ECOMB and event sponsors. Volunteers will be treated to lunch, participate in a fantastic raffle, be awarded trophies and watch a shockingly educational event intended to demonstrate just how much litter is buried in the beach!
