What:  

Help ECOMB and the City of Miami Beach Neighborhood Services Department clean up South Pointe Beach and remove exotic plant species from the sand dunes.
 

Where:   Beach and dune areas between South Pointe Drive (Biscayne Street) and 5th Street. Meet us at the eastern end of South Pointe Drive (Biscayne Street), in South Pointe, Miami Beach (just south of Nikki Beach). The closest cross street is Ocean Drive.
 
Parking:   FREE UNTIL 12 NOON. Park on Pier Park parking lot, on the corner of Ocean Drive and South Pointe Drive (Biscayne Street). Please place the attached Parking Pass on your dashboard. If you are not able to print it or open the attachment, ask me for one when you get to the site.
 
Age:  
  • Minimum age: 11 years old with an adult
  • Volunteers between 11 and 15 must sign andbring a Parental Consent Form, provided by ECOMB, and one parent must be present.
  • Volunteers who are 16 or 17 must only present a signed Parental Consent Form provided by ECOMB
We provide:   Water, some snacks, garbage bags and gloves for the cleanup – and lots of fun!
 
You bring:   Volunteers should wear a hat, sneakers, or "aqua-boots”, and bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle.
 
Community Service Hours:   You will receive 4 community service hours for each event.
